I was trying to be funny too. Oh well.
No offense here

Besides it's darn hard to make an HHR look bad, though I recall a color combo with pink and blue that many questioned

Okay, ya got me. I just read into that as aftermaket support I guess. I'm just surprised that we don't have more aftermaket support after over a year on the market. Out of the little aftermarket support we have there are very few of the big names involved except a few like Eibach, MagnaFlow, and K&N.

Was that a TYPO or did it say that it only had 149HP, I thought the 2.4L had 172HP in 06???
PS. Took a couple good looks at it, don`t think I`d trade just for BLACK chrome.. Could probably hold out til someone comes out with a method of achieving the same/similar results for less than $20,000.00 . Besides I have the original Prototype. " White " Chromed.....

Good catch Black Beauty...

I did send them an e-mail in regard to that also. But the lady is "out of town" till Monday.

Maybe for the sake of keeping people current, I should post the E-mails with response???

The black chrome grille, rear hatch "brow", door handles, black painted mirrors, and "smoked" headlamps would all look great on my black '06 2LT, but they forgot the roof rails. Maybe I'll just try to find everything except the door handles . . . . (It would still look "balanced" from the side view to keep chrome wheels/door handles/roof rails, while from front and rear, go with the "darker" stuff . . . . ) . . . musings . . . . "SS" Mike

Roof rack cross rails

By the way, While at the dealers yesterday, I picked up a NEW 2007 HHR brouchure. Not many changes, only just thought about the mention and picture of the Soon to be available roof rack cross rails.

Hey... Can`t believe I actually posted this myself... Don`t know what I did right either...

if you want to do the black chrome yourself you can use duplicolor metal cast black over your original chrome pieces and it would look the same...
