Finding things...

I have an 07, 2.2, LT, Auto tranny - where is the dip stick for the tranny located? And how do I remove the air cleaner cover to look at the engine air filter?

I like to keep the two rear / middle seats tilted down, to open the entire rear section up - what have people done to that open rear area to keep things from sliding all over? I thought of covering it with outdoor carpet... any other better ideas? thanks - kip

OK, I found the thread about changing the air filter - what a great help - thanks much...

But where is the dip stick for the tranny??????

No dipstick, treat the trans as a sealed assembly until you reach the recommended service interval in your manual. It takes a while getting used to not being able to check the fluid level in the trans, but unless you have a puddle of fluid in the driveway, forget about it until you reach 100,000 miles.

As 843 said you don't need to check it unless there is a problem. but here is a pic. also if you type in checking air filter in the search tab at the top you will find a how to on the air filter.

I custom fit non-skid rubber mat to my Panel, nothing moves.. Love it..

Thanks for the info on the tranny... who would have ever thought you'd not check the fluid level??? Oh well...

What type of rubber matting did you use, and if I can ask, where did you find it? I have thought about indoor carpeting, but things will still slide around. Thanks - kip
