Exhaust manifold studs torque to 11 ft lbs
Exhaust manifold nuts 10 ft lbs

I torqued them to 10.5 ft.lbs…..ran thru sequence twice. Guess I will check it after little run time.

You shouldn’t have to if there’s loctite on the threads

You don't want to crush the gasket, that is why the spec is low.

I figured maybe to keep from over stressing the studs from heat expansion.

The gasket is a 3 layer metallic type not a fiber type. If you crush it you ruin it.

Well…

you were right….the cheap CAT was junk…about 2xxx miles at p0420 came back so….got new flex pipe….had my muffler shop buddy to weld it up to old CAT….in the weld jig I built….fit good, ….no more p0420
