Some additives have been lowered or removed for emissions reasons, but I think it was more on oils for diesels this year as the controls for then changed drastically.

He is some additional info on the Oil Life Monitors if you are interested. It is produced by Amsoil, which is a good product under a questionable marketing skeem...imo and no offense to those who use it.

I find it humourous that Amsoil talks about using their products in GM vehicles, but they are not listed by GM as an approved motor oil.

Amsoil says their products meet GM 6094M and 4718M but I guess they haven't submitted samples to get on the list.

I agree about the marketing scheme. Done better than Amway, but still...
