I cracked one of my headers on my Mustang coming out of a steep driveway. I scraped my exhaust really hard and it put to much pressure on the manifold and the weld busted. Thats the whole reason I put on better flowing headers on. Why replace the stock unit when you can get better.

How about letting us know if you get it checked and if you do, how the alignment ended up and what was needed to correct it, whether with factory adjustments or if a kit (usually offset bolts) was needed.

Lookin' good!! Thanks!
Joe - it is always a good idea to put at least 1-200 miles on a new set of springs before getting the alignment; they need to break in and settle. That said, it is very important to align after dropping. I will be going in to my guy this week to have it done. An alignment is required after lowering cars - it is not an option.

The HHR used splind bolt - but they are NOT offset. I'll let you guys know after we align it what is necessary. Basically, whatever they use on a Cobalt works - it's the same setup underneath.

BTW - the neg camber doesn't look that bad in person at all. The tires would need to be driven more than 1000 miles before a wear pattern will set in.

Gee, I would have thought you put those 1-200 miles on it within the hour!

Very much in agreement on the requirement of alignment. Let us know how it goes.

How about the ride? Did you notice much difference? From talking to Erich about the Goldlines and Eibach there is only about a 20% rate increase, which should make the ride a little firmer, but not harsh.

Well...actually I did put 135 miles on it on the way home!

The ride? Yes, a bit firmer, but not at all harsh. *Remember, I'm currently running 16" tires, which adds a BIG "cush" to the ride. With 18's, it's gonna get a bit rougher. Erich did tell me that none of the customers (of all different wheel sizes), has complained about the ride yet.

More info after the alignment...
