floridamisfit, $14k sounds very reasonable to me. I'd bet you could find a lot of used 06 with that kind of mileage for a lot less.

How is your wife doing?

As expected, the car is totaled.....All I expect is NADA......cant really want more than that......The car is an 06 LT2. No onstar.......it has the 2.4, leather, wheels, and moonroof, mileage is 36874. The insurance company is offering $14025.....plus tax. According to the website with my options, NADA is 14225, So thats what I want. the only option on that site that didnt make sense to me was theft recovery system. I didnt think it was offered with a theft recovery..........Factory alarm with keyless entry yes......Anyknow have any idea????? It only adds $125 to the value, but every little bit would help if I was entitled......
Take what you can for the car, $200 isn't worth arguing over. Hire a lawyer to sort out the personal injuries.

Take it and RUN!!!

I have a 2006 LT2 fully loaded with 34,000 miles, in perfect condition, that I have been trying to sell for $10,500 and no takers!!! $14k is a VERY GENEROUS OFFER!!! Also be advised they will add the TT&L on top of that amount so you wind up getting a little more. That is a pretty decent settlement. BE SURE no lingering bodily injuries are present. Be sure those are kept separate from property damage settlement.

Heck you could probably get a new 08 or 09 plus an extra 1 or 2K maybe even nothing extra. I got my wife's brand new 08 LT2 for 17K.

Absolutely accept the offer. You won't get any more no matter what. Try looking at trade in value... you'll weep at that value. Take the cash.
