Handling in the snow

I went with Winterforce snow tires. I also opted to go with the P205/60R16 because a tire that is more narrow is proven to handle better in adverse weather. If I remember correctly they are made by Bridgestone/Firestone. I paid like $63.00 each from the Tire Rack.
My first experience with this particular tire was when I put them (they were called Winterfire at the time) on my 96 Trans Am and my 95 Z28 back in the day. I worked for a tire wholesaler at the time and got to buy all my stuff at cost. I think back then they were around $40.00 each and figured....what do I have to loose? I mounted and balanced them for free and waited for some bad weather. They worked so well on those cars that I have been sold on them ever since.....Regards

I put them on the first snow, and take them off when I know there isn't going to be anymore snow...usually March....sometimes April....lol...They still wear really well, even if there isn't constant snow. I could easily get 4-5 seasons out of them based on the wear from last year, that's if I end up keeping the HHR that long.....I usually end up changing cars every 2-3 years....Regards
