Here's the link you ask for. Easily found with the search function. Typed { agm battery } and looked at the results.

The AGM batteries of which you speak are still lead-acid. AGM refers to the architecture, not the chemistry. Sorry, but the OCD in me couldn't stand the fingernails on the chalkboard and just had to say it.

Call me crazy but I would rather put less strain on a battery/starter. I've had the LT for 10 years and it has 220k and no issues. I feel like the 500cca rating is the BARE minimum and not really enough for our cars. But thats just me. Also plan to run some amps in the SS and having more battery capacity helps a lot.
Could be three reasons:
1. High compression.
2. Length of the cable from the battery to the starter (back to front).
3. Deteriorated connect that you fixed when you worked on the batteries.

Of a combinations of those three.

500 CCA? The correct battery has 600 CCA

That Duracell battery installed is $125 U.S. at my local Sam's Club, for anyone who happens to have a membership (or wants the savings to pay for one.) And it comes with the vent ell taped to the side.

I'm talking about removing the stock lead acid and only having an AGM battery. No secondary...no relay...just one AGM to replace the lead acid.
I got one, Duracell, from Sam's Club in 2019 for about $125. Never had any issues.
