What is the easiest and quickest way to change head light bulbs on a 2006 HHR?

personally, I replaced my whole housings with DEPOs. They come with bulbs, you just have to plug and play, and for the most part, by the time you get to accessing the housings from the wheel well, (which is a pain in the tush) you'd be better off doing DEPOs.. However, if you're not a fan of the black housings, then the quickest and ONLY way that I know of is through the wheel well..

Pop out a few of the plastic rivets along your plastic fender liner toward the front. I took out 3 or 4, then part the liner where it meets the fender, reach in and undo the bad bulb. Reinstall being careful not to handle the new bulb with bare skin (oil in your skin will pop the bulb prematurely.) Another pair of hands to keep the liner open so you reach inside helps too. Good luck, it's easy. MAX like 10 minutes per side.

And be sure to get the old gasket out, they tend to stay behind and make installing the new bulb w/gasket impossible.

Go to the shop, throw them the keys, watch tv a while, have a drink with the little umbrella in it. Drive off with new lights.
