Heated seats with a cushion over question.

Hello All.
I am short and need a seat cushion over my regular seat and want to use heated leather seats but not sure if I would harm anything by using them with my cushion.
If you need more info here is the Cushion I have.
I don't want to start any fires or see smoke. I just want to make sure that.
1. It's safe
2. I don't do any damage to my sweet HHR.
3. I would even feel heat thru the cushion.

I thank you all for your help.
Newish owner of a 2009 HHR LT.
Al

Welcome to the site, to be clear your HHR is equipped with heated seats? Then with the cushion being 4.7 inches thick you would not feel any heat from through it.

Oh! Hmm! Didn't even think of that. Looks like a new cushion is in my future.
Thanks for all your help. These boards are great. I have been lurking for a while since buying my HHR in Sept.
Thanks oldblue also. I didn't turn it on because I don't want to damage anything but I will leave it off and get a heated seat cushion.
Thanks all
