2.2L tips?

I have 2 HHRs 2006 LS 5 speed, 2007 LS AT. Both are Sunburst Orange, I just put a new clutch in the 5 speed. I'm looking for tuning tips for the 2.2, I can't find anything I can't even find a K&N cold air filter!

Summit has the K&N FIPK 57-3056

I had this set up on my 2007 2.2 and it was great.

On the 2007 you could think about a 2.4 intake manifold and exhaust system.

And an HP tuners tune. Most other tune shops aren’t supporting the Ecotec 2.2 or 2.4 any longer , try contacting Turbo Tech Racing or ZZP

I didn’t install the 2.4 intake manifold, but I did install a mandrel bent 2” ID down pipe and the 2 1/4 inch Walker cat back exhaust and muffler, that woke it up nicely without the drone at highway speeds.

2006 & 2007 2.2 are different somewhat motors. Many improvements for 2007. Not even possible to install a tune on 2006 2.2, I understand.

I can confirm Oldblue’s suggestion that the 2.2 benefits from 2.4-size exhaust.

Focus on refinements. A 2.2 isn't going to be fast without more work and expense than it’s worth, more than the price of a good SS.
