I hate they way My HHR is always nagging me to wash it. Nag, nag, nag is all she ever does. Wash Me! Polish Me! Wax me!

And when she's all clean, it's always nagging me to go for a cruise. Lets Cruise! 'com'on, Lets Go. I wanna drive!

Gotta' Luv it!

Since my first post about this,I've come to realize another peeve. This one is courtesy of Chevy's stupid product planning/marketing people. Why does a car with a deep tinted back window have an automatic dimming inside mirror???Utterly useless.

Fiance' bought the HHR SS... it would have been nice to at least have the leather option.

Other things to mention, why did they put the gas cap on the passenger side, instead of the driver side like all the other Chevy's?

Can't put a large drink in the cup holder by the hand brake...

The lack of a heated mirror option is a huge oversight for us who deal with snow and ice.

it has been said here that the gas cap is on the passenger side because govt regualtions require it to be on the opposite side of the exhaust now or something like that.

personal observation

I voted "cloth seats" as my peeve, but I'm in the south so I'd never get leather anyway. I like to wear shorts when it's hot outside and am not going to subject myself to the "pain and suffering" associated with leather or vinyl in hot weather - about half the year here. At least not intentionally.

I usually love cloth seats. My Hondas have always had tan or light gray cloth seats and, other than the occasional major spill, have NEVER BEEN CLEANED and look great (and they don't burn your backside in August).

On the other hand I've had my tan HHR interior professionally cleaned several times a year and every time it looks like a troupe of incontinent eight-year-olds had a food fight in there a month later. There is something seriously wrong with the fabric. I think the HHR upholstery actually produces stains spontaneously!

Vis-à-vis some of the other comments:

A large number of new vehicles have heavy pillars and blind spots. Unless you're driving convertible, bad blind spots are probably here to stay. We have to get used to it.

Having trouble with your window switches? Use them more often. Then you'll only have problems in your other car.

Rear latch inoperable with a dead battery? How do you people start the car when your battery dies ? Do you really try replacing the battery first? When you hook up the jumpers your latch will pop right open.

All things considered, I think GM did a great job putting together a great all-purpose vehicle (I use mine for work/long trips/family stuff) at a great price.
