i put 58,000 on mine in 2007. still runs good

I have a 2008 HHR Panel LS 2.2L with 47,000 Miles. Runs great and no problems. :thumb:

My 2006 1LT 2.4L has 50K miles on it and runs as good as day 1.
The Ecotec engines are extremely reliable, very few problems and 200K miles is definitely possible (or even probable). I consider the Ecotec engines one of the best (reliability, power) parts of the HHR. I plan on keeping mine for a long time. Whatever they're offering you for your trade, don't forget that you would also get $$ off if it were a clean deal. If the new HHR was $23K list, you could probably get $2K off if you shopped around. So in reality they are only giving you $7K for your trade. If you have the GM Card, they are boosting up the earnings so that may be a factor. The new 2010 Nox seems to be a very good vehicle with great fuel mileage, but you'll be lugging around a lot more weight, which will affect performance with the 2.4L (if performance is important to you). Then there's the Chevy Orlando coming out soon (supposedly the HHR replacement). Steve |

. . On Topic Content - My HHR just rolled into 1114 miles last night (934 miles are mine). After owning it for 56 hours. That's 17MPH for the duration of ownership. What'll that work out to in 10 years? |
Wheels are nice.

BOth my 1995 and 96 Olds Ciera's had the 2.2 engine in them. The Blue 95' had 195k miles and still running good when my daughter decided she wanted an Equinox for the grandson. The Maroon 95' had 180k on it when I sold it to a college student two years ago. I still see it ocassionally. These are the reasons I bought the HHR. The engine is a proven engine. I, also, have two vehicles with the 3.8 engine and one with the 5.3. No problems with any on them. I have used Mobil 1 in all of my vehicles with no engine problems. I want to add a white panel to my fleet.

I have only 11,000 miles on my 2007 LS which will be two years old in August. My chief worry is that things will begin to go wrong right after the bumper-to-bumper warranty expires in August 2010. No way will I have surpassed 36,000 miles by then - even if I tried hard.

I, like most owners of a 2006, am now out of warranty (for me, by several months). I have about 26,000 miles on mine with little problems. I don't expect anything major for me to pay for (overall, it's been a much better vehicle than what most of the other "first year" owners experienced). My theory is.....I might need to pay for a couple hundred $ in repairs, but the car is paid for and largely depreciated, so whatever the cost of repairs, will not be a burden for a grocery getter.

My 06' LS has 114k miles now. Bought it at 101k a year and half ago. No problems at all. I've only had to change the oil on it. Runs perfect.
I say keep your current HHR. at 35k miles, you're just now getting it broke in. |
