Has anyone replaced there alternator with a high output one?
If so where can I get one.

Right now the only way to get one is going to be a rebuild/boost of the stock alternator. Unless you want to take yours off and be without driving your HHR for a week, you could order a new one through your dealer, then take it to an alternator shop. Before I went that far though, I'd check with an alternator rewinding shop to see what (if anything), they think they can do for you. It might not even be worth it.

Unhappy

Ohio generator doesn't have anything. They looked at an hhr last week and had trouble just finding the alternator.

I know this is a really old thread, but.............

Been having trouble keeping my batteries charged, so I was shopping for a high amp alternator and found these.

2006 HHR 2.4L

200 amp / 160 amp idle $469.00
220 amp / 150 amp idle $489.00
240 amp / 140 amp idle $509.00
260 amp / 130 amp idle $529.00
280 amp / 120 amp idle $549.00
300 amp / 115 amp idle $569.00

Alternator comes with a one year warranty, add Lifetime warranty & Exchange program for $99.00

Let us know which alternator and/or warranties along with your zip code for a total including shipping.

Thanks, Iraggi Alternator
I'm getting the 300 amp so when I upgrade all my electronics, I'll be covered. I'll update during/after install.
