Thumbs down Hit and Run

So on Saturday my poor HHR was the victim of a hit and run, while I was in the store for about five minutes. Came out to a hit bumper cover and some red paint transfer. When I removed the bumper cover, easy because I installed my Depo's last summer, I discovered a broken headlight bracket, tweaked fender metal, and some other goodies. It's all repairable and am already getting a new bumper cover painted by a local body shop for $250. The bracket I repaired with some metal mesh braces and some strong epoxy from the auto store and it bolted right back up. Except having to rebend the fender. Needless to say I was pretty and am still very angry. What's worse is I'm pretty sure it was a red Cobalt that did this damage.

That bites, & low life scum drives away..

That's what I liked about the Viper alarm I installed on my last S-10, it had the adjustable motion detector.

If anything touched my truck it would BLAST !!!!!!!!!

Hope you catch the bum..

What sux is getting hit moving side by side and the dude running.
I was right lane, kid was left lane.
Kid decides he wants/needs to make a fast right turn ...... through the front of my Panel.
He stopped for 5 seconds I'm on with 911.... he pulls into a parking lot nearby.... gets out looks at his passenger side looks back at me..... gets in and hauls adze.

Cops show about 3 minutes later take a quick statement... call for back up to chase..... gone.

I never saw a license plate number and it was 11 at night and could never ID the kid if they ever find him.

3K in damage and 15 days in body shop. Now I'm getting what I think is CV noise turning both ways.

I have a 20 plus year old truck and I even keep full coverage on it. I am never uninsured.

I paid $100 put of pocket for deductible.

Hit and Run

We are living in an era of "Only Me". In as much as we don't need to take responsibility for our actions why should we need to comply with the law? The side of my pickup and the front of my motorhome have been keyed numerous times, why who knows, been living in my house 50 years and no problems with neighbors. Just an olg coot venting.
