How do I fix this?

Hello. I'm looking for information regarding the lighting within the gear shifter. It has completely turned off/died. At night I am not able to discern which gear is which. I was hoping to figure out what I need to fix it. Thank you.

Somewhere there is a thread about that with pictures. You might try the search. Here is one I found: https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...acement-46193/

It is different between years.

There is a tiny bulb (#37) to replace, take the console top off you should be able to see it. The chrome ring just pops off.

Check all the info in the link Donbrew's posted page 3 and 4 have directions.
Pick up a #37 bulb at your local parts palace first!
It was fairly straight forward to do.
Remember to set the parking brake!!

Are you sure the light was ever there? If all of the instrument lights are out it could be the IPC fuse.
