Bought a blue 2006 LT thats loaded. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Yes the mod bug is bitting hard, reminds me of the time I got my first motorcycle.

 

Yeah, finally figured it out a while back but never got back to this post... also need to remove the lift gate door handle... thx all!

 

I popped mine off and removed the wiper as well. Once I got the bottom two out (which I broke) the rest were pretty simple. I didn't pull the whole thing off...just raised it far enough to get the motor out and put it all back together. Got a couple black plugs from the Help section at Auto Zone and put them in and was good to go. Those plugs acutally worked better than what was one there and added a little contrast to the inside of the tailgate as they are black.

Here's what mine looks with the shaved rear wiper now.
