That is incredible if it's true...do you have a manual or an automatic?

My 2.2/slushbox gets over 30 at 65 MPH but bump it up to 75 (the speed limit on the rural turnpikes in Oklahoma) and the mileage drops significantly.

blue car hasn't joined us since 6/6/2014, so he'll not have an answer for you bugo, but 40+ mpg is possible.

Mine will do it on a long highway run with the cruise control set at 75.

There are many things that affect and influence fuel economy, like your tires, the ambient temperature, the state of your engine(fresh fluids and filters, etc), and whether you're relying on the MPG reading provided by the DIC, or if you figure your economy out with a pencil and paper.

I just got back from the dealer, and they suggested that could be it...would suck to be governed at 105 or so!

You will know when you hit a governor. If you're accelerating to 100+ it's going to cut throttle and boost. Factory settings are probably around 130mph. I can look at the stock tune once I get home. 105mph seems low to me

I know it's been discussed in other threads but I always thought that the SS stock tune did not have a speed limiter or governor programmed in it.

Gm advertised the stock manual as having a top speed of over 150.

FWIW, The stock speed limiter for my 2008 SS was 155. Another 2008 SS file I looked at also had limit of 155.
