Very nice! Thanks for posting the link. I was considering the all-weather rubber matts, but the berber matts with the heel pad are looking more like what I want. The price is good, too. Thanks!

Berber carpets are a style of carpet containing big and small tufts. It uses a cut pile construction type, and usually contains small flecks of dark color on lighter shade background colors.
My 08 came with a cargo mat of heavy rubber with black carpet material on top and hated to get it dirty so I tossed in a old rug I cut to size. Don't know why I alway take out the nice new carpets and toss in old one! That always reminds me of an old friend who's folks had a 56 chevy with clear vinyl covers on the seats, the car rusted away to nothing and went to the junk yard with new like seats that were never touched by human sweat. Think I toss the new one back in

The term Berber is applied to carpet that has the off-white, heathered look of cloaks used by the Berber tribes of North Africa. Berber carpets use flecked yarns most often in loop styles. The size of the loops varies from large nubby ones to smaller styles. Patterned Berbers are multi-level-loop as well as cut-and-loop styles. Berber styles are also available in pastels and dark tones as well as naturals.

Berber carpet is a type of weave of carpet, not a type of carpet. The fibers of this carpet can be made of wool, nylon, polyester, Olefin (petro-plastic), or a blend of types of fibers. Like with anything of value, there are the cheap versions of 100% Wool or Nylon Berber carpets. It might be worth the extra cost to be sure you are happy with your Berber carpet choice in the future.

NOTE: Berber carpets are best if they have a very tight weave, making it difficult to snag something on it. They are very comfortable and if well made, they will last a long time. BUT KNOW, they ARE difficult to clean. Dark colors are best for mats, IMHO.

Sounds like my Grandmothers old 74 Buick. The car has 20,XXX miles and runs flawlessly, has blankets on the seats and rear deck, three layers of floormats keeping the interior mint... and looks like a battle worn TANK on the outside from S.Dakota winters! hahaha

I had berber mats once and they always looked super but the downside of that was all the dirt passed through to the carpet underneath that it was supposed to be protecting. The combination of a fair amount of precipation and sandy soil makes it a bad choice for me in Florida. I will be looking into the other carpet that they offer. The option of black carpets with red binding ought to work well with the ebony/red interior.
