Illinois IPASS Anyone???

We noticed if we put our IPASS on the top of the windshield just to the passenger side of the rearview mirror our compass didn't work. We switched it to the drivers side of the mirror and all is fine. Anyone else from Chicago area have this problem?

It's probably an electronic toll pass for Illinois.

I have a fleet of vehicles that use the Toll way and I was informed that you must place them on the driver side of the Mirror in order for it to work. If for some reason it does not them you have a bad chip or no money in the account. With our it has only been the chip. I have about 68 IPASS's
and I have had only 4 with the chip that has gone bad in 5 years.

Good luck

It's a Illinois thing. One more way to extort money from people. If you don't have one of these things the cost of your toll is doubled and it's not like you can take another way to work when you live a good distance away and commute. All is well now though. My husband velcroed it behind the mirror on the driver's side and the compass as well as the IPASS work fine now.
