Keyfob Distance WOW
So I finally convinced a co-worker to test drive my HHR yesterday, who owns a PT. As we were walking out of the building I took my keyfob out and tried to start my car from a distance of 270ft. estimated based on 54 parking spaces, assuming they are about 5' wide. I found it completely amazing that it worked from so far away. I use my keyfob all the time and it’s almost a year old with the same battery. Started up unlocked the doors and went for a very convincing ride, who is now thinking about trading in her PT for an HHR. :thumb:

Nice, Good thing to know

I've had various luck with mine. Sometimes it's great, other times it's like I could be sitting in the car and the remote won't turn it on. I sometimes wonder if it's the hospital building I work in. Lots of metal inside, and especially in the various awnings and shelters between the building and where I park. No problems lately, and my wife likes it because I have the car cooled down when we get into it. :thumb:

I work in a Hospital also and started my car from the inside our data center filled with many electronics, so far its been good but not as far as listed in my previous post. May be about 50' - 100' ft. away

Spite some delayed reaction times I can remote start mine from our 11th floor office here at work, I enjoy it being as its bloody hot out.

I started our HHR from the 9th floor of the resort in Vegas where we stayed. I would say that it was parked 60 yards away from the building at the time. I was shocked!
