Latest VIN decoding?

Trying to sort out a VIN

http://service.gm.com/dealerworld/vincards/
whcih I found here appears to be defunct

https://www.gmpartsonline.net/vin-decoder
won't work for me, get an error code

https://chevroletforum.com/forum/vindecoder.php
worked nicely, but still confuses me.

Anyone know the latest and greatest in VIN decoders?

Will the VIN tell me if it's a half-panel? What will it tell and what will it not?

Thanks!

There's not much information in the VIN. Check the sticker on the inside of the passenger glove box door, it lists RPO codes. Half panel is AA5.

X2. The RPO codes are your best resource to find out everything about what was installed at the factory.

Here's thread that lists a few model years.

You can also search online for general GM RPO code lists that can be helpful too, especially since many of the codes are common across all GM cars and trucks.

the VIN will tell you a lot if you have a dealer parts person check on it... and yes, the VIN in the OP is a half panel
I'm happy to look up specific VINs as my time allows at work (assuming I see the posts)
