LED Dome Light

Anyone have info on the ceiling led dome light above the shifter in '07 HHR's? I can't find anything in the book on it. It appears to come on with the headlights, is not dimmable, and you cannot turn it off.

What info are you looking for? I replaced mine with a blue LED.

It's to illuminate the window controls primarily. They are not backlit.

That light is commonly called by dealers the "Mood Light." If you're looking to shut it off, you can't short of removing the LED or covering it up. Unless it's causing vision problems, it really isn't much of a nuisance (I actually kind of like it at night), and it's aimed carefully so as not to reflect off the windshield.

A small piece of tape works a treat if you want to "shut it off."

I'm betting in 2-3 weeks, you will just forget it's there like most of the rest of us.

Radio Shack like SoCal said. It's a standard 5mm LED. Just make sure to get a high intensity LED so it's bright enough.
