I bought my LT in 2008 its a 2007, I now have 72k on it . Yes the interior drivers door handle broke, easy fix, and the plastic headlamps are clouding over(typical with cars in So. Cal),I would not trade my baby , A lot of cars have a lot of problems. I did a lot of research ..For the size/money this vehicle is awesome.

When I had my Toyota Celicia GTS and I would go to yhe dealer to buy parts I askedthe parts Mgr. why they didn't wear a mask and a gun as they were holding you to buy parts, I did all my own service work and found other places to buy parts, no more Toyotas for me, Ill live and die in my HHR and love it. and I am 81 1/2 years. so it will outlast me. Well have a few buyers for the Tacoma....

Lost out an a nice privately owned 2LT in my fav Color for the car BLK.

Not many choices avaiable except for the orange one here and the dealer is not budging from $13300 OTD (sales tax is capped at $300) so its a 13,000 car. Over half or original MSRP for a 6 year old Chevy before the $4000 rebates they were giving at the time!

2008 2LT 20500 miles. Orange is just loud... LOL and the trade value is only $9500. I don't want to be stupid about this but it's the least expensive low mileage loaded HHR around. Privately or on lots. Would have to add BT though, Another $300. But on the bright side the girly Pin striping will come off with Acetone

I am getting $21,000 for the 08 Tacoma ($2000 over trade in) privately. So the spread is only $8000 for a Tacoma TRD DCSB 2WD OR in great condition with 34K vs an 08 HHR in good condition. Something does not seem right.

I have been hoping it sells so I would not have to stress over it LOL....

Liking this Acura next to it as well....

The Acura seems like a better deal for $2000 more. Than the Tacoma.

Would feel much better if it were a 2010.

HA good idea....I am not OCD about OWNING cars. I am extremely OCD when buying them. After I own them I will be the first to let the shopping car roll into the door as always.

Getting closer.....

HAve an offer on the Tacoma for $21900. Decided not to buy this one and pocket $8600
http://www.beachautomotive.com/mega-mall

2008 2LT with 20 K @13,300 OTD way too much for 08

Found this one Privately.

Has a $9000 Trade value. Everything but rear view camera. 50XXX Wants $12,000

I will offer $10,500 tops. Probably wont take it but he has been trying to sell All Summer. At least he will be getting $1500 over wholesale. $12K is rich for a 4 year old Chevy that sold for less than $20K after rebates. Only thing he had issues with is the shifter recall. I like black better on the car. Looks even more retro.

If I cannot swing that deal I will step up a bit and buy a 2010 Acura RDX and call it a day

Multiple threads lead to confusion, it's best to keep your original thread going, if it needs a title change just PM one of the Moderators and we'll be happy to help.

YEah Thanks. Confusion sucks..... Thinking about abandoning the HHR and buying a 2008-2010 EX35 Infiniti anyway, People want too much for the 3 year old discontinued Chevy. Most prices are over half MSRP before the $4000 rebates. The dealers are telling me the the buyers are those with credit issues who can afford a payment on a $12,000 loan with $2000 down and a handful of hobbyists.

The best way to buy the HHR is less than $10,000 unless its the SS. $15K is just crazy considering the other choices available. It's a nice car and looks great but I find it all flash an little substance. IF I cannot find a 2009 2LT or better for less than $10K with <50K miles I would rather buy an RDX or EX35,
