I need to find a new Cat for my vehicle, the current one is rust and the join from pipe manofolder to the cat, has hole, so I tried to repair with fiber tape but is not the same, I found but always is for automatic trans even here in CAPS Canada so....
I AM LOOKING A CATALYTIC CONVERTER for my HHR 2006, 2.4L Manual Trans. if any know a good one not matter what is aftermark but with quality or used originally, PLEASE let me know. I really appreciate...

Hi oldblue I got the same that you sent me in the link, but did you replace the oxygen sensor both?, I replaced about 2 o 3 years ago, and every summer I clean, did you apply any thermal paste on the flange gasket to avoid a leak?, thanks so much for your help.

 

You should replace both O2 sensors. They usually come with the proper compound; DO NOT use anything that has silicone in it!!!!!
Nothing needed on the flange gasket. Never use ANY silicone that could possibly get into the exhaust gasses; it will kill the O2 sensors and the cat.

I don't know. I recommend NTK/NGK or Denso or ACDelco. NOT Bosch.
