Looking for snow tires

Need some HELP!! I am looking for snow tires. But I need them to be able to work in the snow. Last year I had all seasonal and I was sliding all over the place. I could not even get up my street (it has a slight incline) once you come off main road. My HHR struggled going up that slight incline. I was on the tire rack website and saw the Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires. Does anyone have any feed back on these tires or what you recommend. VERY snowy in the north east. Thank you

Yup, several members have used the Bridgestone Blizzak's with good success. Just use the SEARCH TOOL at the top of the page and enter "Bridgestone Blizzak " without the quotes to bring up a list of the threads/postings. They have been discussed quite extensively.

Any dedicated winter/snow tire is going to be way better than an all season tire.

3 winters ago I bought the cheapest winter tire Discount Tire had and it was amazing how much better it was in the snow than the best all season Michelins, at the time I had the Pilot axalto as tires.

absolutely loved my snow tires (firestone winterforce) leaps and bounds better than all seasons...
all season tires are like wearing running shoes instead of sandals in the snow...yea they are better than grippy, sticky summer tires, but no they dont compare to boots (snow tires)

Firestone Winterforce

This is the set that I'm going to order for my HHR. I have 17 inch wheels and tires so this is the best size for it. I've had this on my old Jeep Liberty and Ford Escape with no problems. Those tires last me about 40K miles of total winter use.

Just got the Nokian all season eNtyre 215/50/17 on my HHR. NOT snow tires but got me around just fine in 5" of really wet snow. Low noise, great for dry and wet and adequate for snow. Smooth ride as well...highly recommend them.
