I don't think the seat can be lowered. There's a portion of the frame that sticks up under the seats. That's what the seat hardware is mounted to. I think you're only choice is to lean the seat back. That's what I did in our Isuzu Trooper that had limited leg and head room.

What ever you do, don`t alter your seat mounting hardware, your life may depend on it.

My wife's cousin test drove a Toyota (I think Celica) a few years ago with the sunroof open. Loved it so much he leased it on the spot:lol: . Got it home closed the sunroof and found out he couldn't sit straight:red: . OOPS too late  - he wound up driving around with his neck crooked or with the sunroof open until he could get rid of it.:rof: We had a lot of fun with that one...;)

I test drove it and did note that my hair seemed to brush the lining. I was able to adjust the seat around so it was not a problem. But after I bought the thing, I can't seem to find that same seat position. Go figure

For whatever reason I can't seem to get comfortable with my seat leaned back. I think leaning it back one notch would solve the hair rub problem, but I'm uncomfortable with the seat leaning back. Guess I'm going to have to undo 32 years of being taught to sit straight up.

I am overdue for my twice-yearly head shave. Guess It's time to call my hairdresser and get my annual crew cut.

It is a power seat. Safety would be my first concern if I do any modifications.

And finally... Black, residing the Stadium District. Just found out one of my neighborers has a Blue HHR.

I am also Tall, and have the same issue, I think it might be possible to gain a 1/2 inch or so by raising the headliner somehow. No idea what this would cost or if it is at all viable, any suggestions?

open the sunroof....raise up the seat..add an extended shifter..oh say ..above roof level.......wear a too short T shirt with some burnout pic on the front and join the RAT PACK!!

By tall, how tall? At 6'9" I graze the headliner myself. I find that position every other time I get in the car now.

\I used to find it a lot less frequently
\\here's hoping it gets even more frequent

I was thinking of getting a Flowbe (one of those haircut things that hook to the vacuum cleaner), until I saw a coworker that had used one. I'll spend the $15 and keep my hairdresser... in whatever hairdressers spend $15 on. Aw heck, it all falling out anyhow.
