I'm jealous of the guy's with know how and a shop, that can find these type of vehicles in barns and fields and restore them or turn them into really good hot rods.

That's an open statement. How many times when growing up that an "old man" showed you how to do it and then told you to think.

Yes, an old man taught me to weld, and metal work, but just standard procedure, the custom work and much more was self taught.
Let’s call it a combination of learning.
