Yeah and the stupid dealer license plate cover they give you sometimes too. Instant trash bin material!

It has always surprised me that car buyers would advertise for the selling dealer. These dealer stickers are very common in almost all states except for California. They just aren't tolerated here for some reason, I don't know why.

By the way, beautiful SSR.[/QUOTE]

In Virginia they are required by law, if sold by a licensed dealer, used cars must have a warranty statement glued to the driver side window.

I've always stipulated in the purchase agreement, no dealer stickers or license plate frames, or deal will be cancelled, I've never had a dealer badge, plate frame or sticker in 47 years!

I thought we were referring to the dealers advertising sticker. My mistake No I understand the sticker for sales reasons. But here we don't have to ask them or tell them anything, they remove em automatically here, it's them stickers they use to label it with their name for life. Them and the license plate I wish they had to ask by law, before they add it..

I've special ordered 2 new vehicles before. A 98 Dodge and the 2010 HHR SS.
Told both the sales managers that I DID NOT want to see a dealer sticker on them when I came to pick them up.
Yep. Both had the stickers on them when I went to pick them up.
Told the Chevrolet guy I was not happy. He blamed it on the prep crew. So, I just proceeded to peel that sticker off the hatch right there in the dealers lot !
And that was before I did the paperwork and paid for the car.

Back in the olden days they riveted them on. My dad would not accept delivery until the body shop had finished fixing the holes and repainting the trunk lid. I remember waiting an extra week to get his 1959 Imperial Crown delivered. And the dealership owner was one of his best drinking buddies.

Sorry, I was thinking the window stickers, here they actually remove them and include them with the delivery docs.

When we bought our Z3 the car had been sold by the same lot once before and still had part of it left. It looks like paint but is probably some kind of transfer. The lots name had been removed but Roanoke Va had been left, I liked it so I kept it. Why they had it twice is a long story but the short version is that we had looked it 18 months before and not ready to act at that time, when it came back we bought it. I felt they were keeping it for us.
