Talking Need to lower my 2008 HHR SS

Hey guys whats up?!
Just got my 2008 HHR SS, and want to lower it. I know the SS has a suspension kit. What I want to know is what will happen if I add GL springs.
I know they are hard to come by but from what I'm guessing they are the springs that have the best ride and lowering combo.

Any thought please reply.
Thanks !!!!

Personally, I don't think the GL's have the best ride. I've had them and now have eibachs. The eibachs have a much nicer ride.

I am curious though, with all the work GM put into the ride and power of the SS HHR, why change it and worry about ride. I can't imagine lowering springs being any improvement in ride. Looks, yes; ride, no. But it's your car so do what makes you happy.

I'm sure he's not looking for an improvement in ride...he's after a lower CG, improving handling, & decreasing nose dive during braking. The looks are just a bonus!

BTW, MHS911...

the ss already seems kinda low from the factory. i was thinking it might end up scraping as is. How much lower you intend? i read the stock ride is excellent and corners great.

I agree with chooch. The ride is great the way it comes. And you really have to be careful about scraping the nose on the ground and curbs.

Welcome To The Site !! Yeah, I Agree With Others, Why Mess With The Ride ? To Me, Its Good Enough As It Is Compared To Other Vehicles Out There (pt Cruisers& Suv's )
