WELCOME!!!! Are the stripes on the sides or hood and roof? I've only seen an orange and a dark blue SS around here.

 

I believe that they are on the hood and roof like rally stripes or racing stripes. But then again I really don't know. That is why the anticipation is killing me.

No striping on the hood/roof from GM. It's down the side of the HHR.

Although that is a bit of a let down since my dealer was "99%" sure that it was over the hood, roof and down the back. I guess that I will have to have that fixed. Anybody know where to get nice racing stripes in the Chicagoland area?

I just got a call from the dealer that my SS has arrived.......but, It was missing an option that I ordered (XM). I said no prob and when can I come get it? they said it will take a day or two for dealer "prep". Does anybody know what that means and why it takes 1 or 2 days? I am dying from the anticipation and cant wait another 2 days especially knowing it is sitting a short 10 miles from here. I sure hope it is worth the wait.

the dealer prep is that they detail the entire car, make it all shiny and nice and hopefully fill up the tank. It shouldn't take 2 days, sounds like they're either swamped, lazy, or a bit of both.

My HHR got to the dealer this afternoon from who knows where they traded for it. They are prepping it and all that and i'm getting it tomorrow at 1, less then 24 hours from when they got it.

also, back on the stripe subject. just make sure they're there. like i said the one on the lot here said smoke accent stripe $95 on the sticker, and there wasn't a stripe on that thing.

Ya its wierd the sticker says XM for mine, yet no XM. I have not seen the car yet, but the dealer called to let me know that it is missing the XM. They have agreed to take the 200 off for the missing XM. I am fortunate that my Mom works for GM and I got employee pricing on my SS. 100 over dealer invoice. I expected the XM, but it really is not a big deal without since I have a portable sirius anyway. I will for sure make sure the stripes are there or they will be taking another 95 off the price. With the 0% for 72 I could not pass on this deal. I traded my Tahoe and an Impala SS for it.
