Personally, when driving in town only I average about 27MPG in my '09 2.2. I did some research online and learned about hypermiling. If you look it up you can learn some tips for getting better mileage. I have been able to average 41MPG on the highway, and better mileage than that on longer trips by using these tips.

 

Blame the Feds for the door locks! Safety Man says that if the doors are locked you will be more likely to live after a catastrophic impact, not to mention car-jacking, oh I did just mention it!

 

To me to have the doors lock every time the car is put gear is unnecessary ware.
