New Member HHR Panel Wheel Question?

Ok!

Just got an 08 panel LS in white.... Love the Car/Truck? Anyway I got it for my shop to haul Band Instruments and Clocks..
The only thing I was disapointed in was the wheels and the loose wheel covers... I have a freind who has a set of 17" stock cast wheels he took of his HHR LT2 I want to know if I can put them on in place of my stock 16"?
I know I'll have to move the pressure sensors,,, Also what size tire can I run as he kept the tire for his new aftermarket wheels..

Thanks and what a great site!!!!

Welcome to the forum. I'm a high school band director and I was thinking the other day that the Panel would be perfect for a traveling instrument repair person.

Mine also came with 50's.

Width wise, you could go up to a 225 if you wanted a little wider look. 235 is probably the maximum, but the tire will stick out past the wheel a little.

ThankYou HHR!!!

Thanks for the many replys on the wheel size.... Looking forward to swaping the wheels...
And to the Band Director. Yes thats is one of the things I had in mind for the panel.. I don't go on the road to do repair , but I do do Music Festivals and deliverys. My territory covers 5 countys so fuel is an issue...

I will post Photos after I have my shop logo painted on the side....

Here is a great calculator to compare two different sizes. Think our good Chevy Mgr posted it at one time. I put it in my book marked sites. http://www.web-cars.com/math/tiresize.html
This will keep your speedometer readings the same if you stay within those limits.
