Now, ok, we can debate the NY laws all day, but that’s not helping the situation, as I said Jessica has done her homework, if you’re not going to post a link to a legal in NY CARB catalytic converter for her, please don’t post anything.

Well, from what I've been able to find, she has no choice but to spend the spendy money, which is why I suggested getting out of NY and moving to a free country.

Purchased the AP brand from RockAuto. Had a 5% discount so came to around $865. Installed it with my cousin's help and passed inspection less than 48 hours later. Problem solved.

Thank you to those who threw out suggestions. Only chose this one because they had it in stock and I didn't have to wait for it. Order was placed 1/20 and part delivered on the morning of 1/22.
