No Cooling Fan or A/C

Hi Guys. Need a little expertise.
Just replaced cooling fan and radiator on a 2007 2.2 liter LS 143000 km.(wife's car) Previous fan had damaged blades and subsequently damaged the rad. Only noticed it when I drove the car after temp hit 108 deg C fan did not engage, nor does it come on when A/C or recirc are on. I have checked all fuses and relays all ok, no stored codes. Also did the battery disconnect. and yes I did reconnect electrical plug to fan. When turning on the A/C the engine speed increases, so I know the compressor is coming on, but no cooling or rad fan. Would appreciate any suggestions what to check or do next.

You 2007 may have a relay and a fuse in the underhood fuse box fuse #40 relay #50. The OM shaows a relay, but I'm not sure that is correct.

There also may be an inline resistor right at the fan connector.

First check for voltage at the connector.

The ground is below the alternator.

There are no other components beside the other wiring.

What brand fan did you go with? I had a broken blade too and replaced the fan without issue....

Fan replacement was a Dorman Radiator Fan Assembly. Will check the ground and wiring, should there be power at the connector with ignition on and A/C switch on?

This may sound silly but did you ensure that the connector "clicked" into place? I remember mine had a confident click. I would connect some power source to the fan assembly to make sure it operates correctly. I don't think the fan or AC would come on unless the engine is running either, it only keeps running after shut down if the car is overheating.

Engine running.
With the AC on there should be power at the connector. It is just an old fashioned 2 prong, check for ground and 12VDC.

Just double checked the compressor with a gauge and I don't hear the A/C clutch engage therefore no pressure reading. Will check the power plug for 12V and ground asap, and all fuses relays again. Power plug needs a signal to receive the voltage correct?
Will keep ya'll posted. Thanx for the continuing help.

Update! All parts are now reassembled and working, thanx for all the suggestions for checking fuses and connections. Fan now engages at 102 C or 216 F. When A/C is on during high ambient temps A/C clutch does not engage, but when ambient is lower there is minimal cooling. Does this indicate low refrigerant? I am assuming so. Thank You for all the help and suggestions, also followed this thread, (https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...-change-58987/) which proved very helpful. Just goes to show you how great this site is.
