And now, the end is near....

So after a long 2 months, and me kicking and screaming, It's finally time to say goodbye to my LT. Purchased in 2010 with 29K miles, she now has 149k and has served me well.

Her replacement - a 2014 Ford Focus ST with the ST3 package. Only has 18k miles, and still has leftover warranty. Two problems - it's a Ford, and it's silver. At least vinyl wrap can solve one of those issues!

The SS is going to have a new, faster buddy!

Yep. Brother and I are the only non ford drivers in the family. I wasn't expecting to buy a new everyday, and I got the best deal on this since everyone goes to the same dealer. Needed a car that I could fit my drums in, and wanted a little power. Chevy option was the Cruze hatch - which has less features and less power for the same price.

I learned how to drive in a 99 lincoln town car, which lasted 185k miles. My LT served me well, but needs a new trans, and is at the point it's not worth sinking 2200 into it. Rather get something with a warranty, and spend the money on the SS!

It's sad to say, but if I were looking at buying a new daily driver, the GM dealership would not be the place I would go. Nothing on the lot appeals to me and after the "key" fiasco, and other build quality issues, I just don't trust them.

The key fiasco applied the Chrysler products also, then there's the airbag stuff, yikes !! I might just build my own car
