OK OK You want pics you got pics...... from new Myrtle Beach owner..
Just looked at my Buyer Sheet. I paid $14000 plus fees ($299) and Tax. (Tax in SC caps at $300 on any car THAT saves a ton). Wrote a check for $5000 and gave them the title to my 2003 Ford Explorer. They gave me $9400 ACV (KBB Trade in Good value) for the Explorer. It was an easy deal. They first wanted $8550 cash and my Truck. LOL. Wholesale trade in is $13500 on the HHR LT2 as equipt so I feel I got a fair shake. Besides I bought it at a Chrysler dealer who had a few PT's on the lot sucking wind next to the HHR.
I think the HHR takes a Hyundai/KIA sized depreciation hit because they are really a "specialty" car.with a very polarizing love/hate it look. The market is much smaller and they do not LOOK like they are fuel friendly. In fact they look heavy. I actually like the car more and more everyday. It grows on ya.
Looking to customize it without making it a pimp mobile. I like the retro custom stuff like hood vents and side spears.
The interior wood kits look ok but I don't like the appearance of it having been pasted OVER the original. Edges are not fluch with swiitches, The Tan or grey shows around them.

You did get a really good deal. The LT2's are all going for $15,000 in the upper midwest/Northern Great Plains. None of the dealers will haggle either
. It seems that all but one place in Minot is now using the "best price" pricing scheme. They put a "fair" price on the vehicle and that is what your going to pay for it. It is usually more than what you would be able to haggle down to in the bad old days. I have learned to accept it and simply call it the "North Dakota Surcharge".
