That's exactly what i was thinking , tho i knew better but since i saw the thread here, mebbe thought i was wrong (been wrong b4 a few times )
I was thinking somehow it "releases" when the mirror head was tilted upward(based on my take on the thread)
That's when i caught that the arm coulda been maneuvered upward some(and that's what the jist of the thread's answer was all about)

Finally got around to doing this today... you'd think 1" of movement wouldn't be that big of a deal but WOW is it!!

yeah, it clears up a lot of space in the window. My wife didn't notice it much since she's 5'2", but with me being 6'2", it really gets it out of my way.

Talking

Isn't it funny how sometimes the simpliest of things bring us the most joy! I must have messed with that mirror a half dozen times trying to figure out how to move it....I looked through my owner's manual, but could never find anything in there about this.....so I struggled with it and finally decided that it was time to ask the people who would know.....so I did and poof there was the answer

Boy did I feel stupid when I realized just how simple it was

Now I can see without the obstruction and my silver windshield sun blocker fits much better! Which is really what started this whole thing to begin with!

Thanx again for the help

Anita

I did this even before we got out of the dealers lot on the test drive. He was like "you can do that" I said "yes and you should do it to all the ones on the lot and see how many more you will sell because of the better view you get out of the windshield". Don't know if he did it or not but he was amazed how much it helped.

I just ran out to the driveway and raised my mirror! I have learned more on this site than in 4 years of university.
