Old Newbie

Just joined up, I have 2006 HHR leather,Pwrseats,2.4 litre 5 Disc MP3 with Subwoofer, Cruise,Pwr Windows,Automatic transmission and I'm sure some other items, bought it new, paid it off and have about 53k in miles on it. My wife and I love the car and are about to purchase a 36.4 Diesel Pusher on a frieghtliner chassis with a 350 HP Catt M7 Engine. I have read up on several websites about flat towing and the process for the HHR (removing fuse 8). I also read somthing about having to reset the Automatic Transmissions Computer but can no longer find the articla witht the process. Does anyone here know about this and the steps to take, somthing about turning the ignition on but not starting it and then engeging the shifter from neutral then to park , turning off the ingnition then starting? Can someone enlighten me on this , I want to be sure, I understand they make great Dingys and would like to keep the car for this purpose. BTW this thing is still getting about 32-34 mpg per gallon.

Welcome, Ben Brown. Sounds like a strong land Yacht, it won't notice it's back there. Which direction you headed.

Thanks but Im not sure but I think the artical is no longer there....Doctor Who fan I see, as well as Paddigton, I spent a couple of years in the UK....I chose the HHR cause it reminded me of my 56 Chevy Wagon in High School. Dualed out 283 w/ 2 speed powerglide tranny.

Sounds like our plans Ben, my wife is from France and she's seen some of the US but here in a few years we're going to buy a converted motor coach and become vagabonds. Well vagabonds dragging a trailer with an HHR or two stuffed inside it.;)
