The one thing I don't like about my HHR is the small windshield. I'm not super tall (6'1") and all my height is in my legs, but sitting at a light and not being able to see the stop light does get annoying. But that is all!
It works so beautifully it ought to be standard equipment. |
How about talking the parts counter guy into looking for parts for a Cobalt?
I actually had a tire guy look out his window at my big gold bowtie and tell me about tires for my "PT". Oil filters that cost twice as much, OK all the filters. Dealerships wanting to flush the power steering fluid. That's nothing with the car, just service folk! |
One thing? The should have chopped my top down another 3 inches. It would look cool, and I am not tall, so that would have been just right.

The one thing i have discovered on my 09 panel is that there is no way to overide the dome lamps. I show my car all the time and with the doors open for display, the dome lights are always on..alot of the older GM vehicles had a manual overide switch. I believe on the non panel HHRs there is a switch on the dome lamp assembly that allows on-off-door control, but not on the 09 panel.

The one wrong thing...
My primary complaints on my 2008 panel are:
1) window switches (why didn't at least put them where the door lock switches are or on the top center console area? Better yet would be in the arm rest. 2) cup holders are barely functional 3) what's with the 2 story radio? It would be nice to have half that height for gauges 4) a height/angle adjustment for the arm rests My secondary complaints are: 1) rear drum brakes instead of discs 2) door lock knobs 3) poorly designed front dome lamp 4) no telescoping steering wheel However, I willingly accept these short comings for a car that has tons of personality and doesn't look like all the other cars on the road. |
Being an economy car, I don't expect it to be a BMW or a Cadillac, but I wish that it had 2 cup holders in the rear so the kids don't have to fight over the single one that GM put there and I also don't like the fact that there is no dome light override. An easy to reach inside hatch release would have been nice as well as a opening rear glass, although this might have added unnecessary cost. The former 3 probably wouldn't.

I've got a rattle in the dash that happens in the cold weather when I hit speedbumps... that's my only complaint.
