They do not come in contact w/ the inside of the window, so they can't scratch any aftermarket tint.

I had my windows tinted & I've read on other posts, that the in channel vent visors will scratch the window tint. I wonder how much scratching will occur. Has anybody else experienced this? And those that have could you please post a picture of the top window edge so I can see how much scratching occurs. This will help me determine if it's worth installing a set.
The factory tint is not a film. If you scratch anything it will be the glass itself. The vent should not touch the glass at all, it goes between the frame and seal.

Mine did the same, I opened the back door and slightly pulled the visor out away from the car and pushed the window button. It went up past the in-channel and I let it set for 48 hours. Works beautiful now.

I see that you've had yours aftermarket market tinted + the in channel vents, - which ones did you get? Lund?

Thanks for everyone's input. I was stuck deciding between a fart can exhaust and visors. This'll help sway my decision more towards the vent visors.

Thumbs up

Gotta love the "Search" function... Questions answered without even asking..

I have aftermarket tint on my windows too. So that was a concern for adding 'in-channel' vent/visors.

I've had the outside stick ons on my last (2) S-10 trucks. & Liked them very much. They were from Vent Shades..

Be nice if a kit was made for Panels with only 2 front windows.. Probably is ? Just haven't found it yet..
