We originally where using a Zurich zr pro from harbor freightBut snagged the snap-on obd2 from the neighbors across the street who works on transmissions
And try to keep this updated but as somebody who works in the field of construction I work 10 hours a day so I can't be on top of the car all day what originally made me go to scan This was my check engine light being on. and reduction in power, speed and fuel mileage

Is it programmed to your VIN? If not, it will need it.
You can get preprogrammed TCMs on eBay for around $80.

Yep, it the ad says send your vin and they program the TCM to it.

I was just afraid you bought a brand new one.
BTW, it is so common to touch the control modules to the battery positive on the fuse box that there is a TSB warning to be careful.
