There will be more opportunities for you to get an HHR. I know what you mean about being picky with your hard earned cash.
Good luck with your continued search.

A brand new 2007 is only a few thousand more, why don't you try for a brand new one?

We're retired, or at least my hubby is, so we have to watch our money carefully, but we did do our homework and we shopped around. My hubby likes to break in a new car himself, so he didn't want one with any miles on it.

We know that it's a come on with many dealers, but they do advertise, and they do have the car they advertise new HHR's for in the neighborhood of 12,777.00 in our local paper. You need to wheel and deal and walk away if they don't meet the price you have set for yourself. But it is possible to get a good deal on an HHR, we did. Good Luck!

am still on the look out. seen a few good deals in the paper today, but i have college, work, and helping a local politician run for city council is really keeping me from the good deals.

does anyone here know about financing? i have bad credit from an incident a few years ago and never recovered. i do have about 8.5k cash and will probably sell my truck to Carmax for $4K since the chevy dealers only want to give me $3200. so that puts me at 12.5 budget. i have priced an HHR at the GM Supplier Discount and it comes out to about 14.5 after rebate.

so with 12.5k down on a 14.5k car plus TTL, i should be lookin at 3.5k financed. i been told they wont finance me with my bad credit score, but i figured with almost 95% of the car paid for the bank would give me the go ahead. heck if i dont pay i lose more than they do.

Carmax will sell you an HHR and finance you with 30% down, even with toilet credit. By putting down 95%, you shouldn't have any problem getting $3,500 credit on a $14,500 used car.

thanks, they called today and wanted to charge me $600 more for their screw up. they didnt realize until they had come in the next morning that the sales manager quoted me the automatic for the 5speed price. they said i had to return it or pay up...i told them if they knew this why did they cash the cashiers check before calling me. lons story short i came out on top and they lost $1400 on the deal due to their mishap.

hope i this car doesnt have any bad karma following it around.
