Question...

How can I tell if my 2011 HHR has a 2.4 engine? Is there a code on the clove compartment sticker? What are the codes for the different engines and where are they located?

Easiest quick visual method is if it has the stock 17" wheels.

Look in the glove box for the RPO list;

2007-2011 2.2L (RPO L61/LAP/LE8)

2006-2011 2.4L (RPO LE5/LE9/LAT/LAF)

Pretty sure the 2.4 engine has a large chrome exhaust tip and the 2.2 engine came with a small galvanized exhaust tip

Thank you for the quick rteplies.

I have the LE9 code, factory 17" wheels and the large chrome exhaust tip so I would surmise that I have a 2.4.

All of our fleet 2.2's came with the chrome tip.....
