Rarest HHR Future Collectable?

In the entire production run what is the rarest HHR? What color and interior had the lowest production numbers? Did they make a Half panel SS or some other rare combo? What do you think will be the best collector HHR for the future and time frame?

Well I know from my unfortunate incident which caused the demise of my blue flash panel, that finding a 2LT panel is VERY hard to find, for obvious reasons (most are LS, and beaten into eternity), finding it in blue flash 109 made in 2008, I'd say it doesn't get much rarer than that in HHR land.

No way to know. I blew up and sold for next to nothing so many rare cars when I was younger. Then they were just cheap old cars. If I had them all now I would be set for life, then they were junk and no one cared.

Only way to know for sure is to build a time machine. Also when you add up climate controlled storage and other expenses to keep a car perfect until it's worth something you are still most likely in the whole.

Sure there are several HHR's with low number options... Very low numbers. Also more and more get scrapped out everyday through attrition so the "number still in existence" is shrinking.

But honestly if you found one of the rarest, now, in perfect condition and kept it that way for 20-30 years don't think you are going to have a "Hemi Cuda" or "427 Vette" on your hands.

Yes, to the "half panel" AA5 version of the SS (here is mine!)

There were (reportedly) less than 200 made, compared to the 216 full panel SSes.

Yes, that is where I saw it.
So 2346 total SSes with 8.5% AA5 should make it 199 total "half panels."
And pretty much everywhere, 216 is shared as the number of full panel SSes.

Do I also understand correctly that '09 was the only year for Panels and the AA5 option?

But anyone that thinks they have a "valuable collectible" is setting themselves up for future disappointment. It is just a novelty, a point of conversation.

I had a 1969 Camaro Z28, SS RS. Sold it in 1980, price $ 1975.00 as is.
A 1970 ‘Cuda , I stuffed in the 440 into a 6 cylinder cream puff, bought the ‘Cuda for $500.00 and the 440 came out of a 1969 Chrysler station wagon I bought for $350.00. Sold the ‘Cuda for $2,500.00 in 1981. So, I made a buck or two but those cars sat behind the shop for awhile, but I had to wrench on them after hours when I got some time.
They were never Barrett-Jackson material, just fun hot rods.

Nice! FWIW, a Z28 could not be an SS. The RS option could be on either.

Less than 200 made, that is a rare car! What color combo had the lowest numbers is that info available?

In general production Non SS cars what was the most popular outside color and interior? If i were to guess Black inside and silver outside in LS?

The rarest cars i have owned and sold...were a 1966 fastback GT mustang 4 speed, a Impala SS a 69 Superbee and a westfalia pop top camper also 1969.
