Rear Headrests

Rear Headrests
Am I the only person bothered by the rear headrests (especially the passanger side)??? It blocks rear vision, especially when you turn around and try to back up. I removed the left one (baby seat there anyway) and it helps improve visibility a lot. Has anyone thought about making a replacement like I have seen on some other cars that is either open or mesh in the center? I would be first in line to buy it.

Hi Lee - many owners just pop 'em out and set them on the floor in the back seat area. It improves vision and keeps them on hand in case you need them for rear passengers. *Note: you have to take them out to fold the rear seats down anyway.
Hope it helps,

I have people in the backseat quite often, but I don't think I ever use a headrest, even when I'm driving. It's way to ackward for me. I did have all of them out, but I went ahead and put the front two back in. I got the headrest in my closet. :)

Hi Adamlowery,
I don't believe that the headrest is actually designed as a place to rest your head. It's main function is to prevent whiplash in case of an accident. That is the only reason that I feel the need to have something in the rear seat area.
