For the proper direction of the force, you would either have to be rear-ended or back into something. Frontal impact would snap your head forward.

I would still like to see about an open (halo) or mesh design. I agree that there could be a possible law suit if it were removed and someone was injured.

screw them. I'm letting them ride in my car...It's retarded you can get sued for stuff like that and I'm sure theyd win if that did happen. If they didn't think the car was safe they shouldnt of got in in the first place. :)

Here in NYC, I have heard stories of people slipping on tiles in the train station when they were drunk, suing the MTA, and winning millions of dollars

Thats why skateboarders are always getting kicked out of everywhere. If you fall on a businesses property and you get hurt you can sue. Even though it was your fault you got hurt. Most skaters I know wouldn't sue though, businesses just need to cover their a**es.

I use my mirrors when backing up, except at night when it's a little more difficult to see. I also have those small round blind spot mirrors, makes a big difference on the freeway. It could take a little practice using your mirrors to back up, but the HHR has large enough mirrors to make it a little easier.
