Grab the mirror and angle it to face the floor as best possible. Then you will have an easier time of moving the post/bar that connects it to the winshield. Just push the whole morrir up to the HL while keeping the mirror face pointing down. It is double jointed sort-a-speak lol.

Any time I have ever gotten a windshield replaced, the metal mirror mount has always been glued on last by the installer. If that is the case where you are, just have them glue it up higher!!

I'm ready to get out of class and move mine! That is really my only complaint about the car.

My windshield has been replaced. I asked the installers if they could raise it before glueing it on and they showed me that it came to them already installed.

Anyways I hated the morror untl I discovered the instructions on some other thread on this site. Now I actually have to keep it all the way up just to keep the mirror from vibrating down to an unsuasable position. Well that is until I get off my arse and tighten the front joint up a tad.

the mount is epoxied to the windshield, so it would be a bit to move the mount

The mirror itself is attached to a double jointed rod which attaches at the top of the windshield. The rod itself can be pushed up and closer to the windshield and then readjust the mirror angle.
I did this the 1st day I got my new SS. Raised it up about 1 inch. You can't really go much higher because the interior roof liner would start to obscure your view.
