rear wiper

Hi, I'm new to this. I'm looking for some help and you guys looked to be my best shot. I'm trying to put a 2009 HHR rear wiper motor on my 1958 willys wagon . I could really use a wiring diagram. Can you help me?

Do you have the dash switch and rear wiper motor out of a donor HHR?

Yes I do. I took it all out the same car.

The switch was meant to signal the BCM. Prolly shouldn’t run the wiper power through it without verifying its capacity. IDK why you’d feel compelled to use the HHR switch, but if you do, you prolly need a relay. Easier to just get a switch with power rating sufficient for the motor.

The HHR rear wiper has a relay in its circuit.

Yeah, but in a custom install in completely different car, I see even less of a point of using the HHR relay than the HHR switch. Where would you insert it? Knowing the rating would be useful, though.

Except with appropriate fusing and an adequate switch, while arguably desirable, the relay is unnecessary. It’s only in the HHR to protect the module. Or I’m full of it. Haven’t seen the wiring diagram.

I would install the relay to protect the circuit from initial overloading.

The HHR relay is in the fuse box.
I would be relatively easy to wire a switch to a relay to run the wiper, the only problem would figuring out how the park mechanism works.

I think I got it figured out , using 2 relays and not using the HHR switch. Thanks for all your help.
