yeah the down payment helps bring your payment down a lot. Can't say i dropped 10k on the down though, only 4k here. We were focusing on getting the monthly down to a nice number that works for us.

you get to pick one. 0% interest for 72 months or $2000 (or $2500 it varied) cash back.

I used this calculator when I was trying to find dealers offering their own rebates on top of GM rebates to see if it was better than the the 0%.

It seemed that the 0% always was better - at least for me b/c I did not do any down payment.

Same here. We had a 07 Saturn Vue. We traded in Payment was $547 for 6 Years (Traded in a Truck). I put $3000 down on the HHR, Got it for $100 over invoice. Dealer made me a deal anything over the 3k they'd match dollar for Dollar. I put additional $1500 and they matched it at $1800. Take in mind we were in the hold on the Vue.

Payment went from $547 for 6yr to a much better $464. I Can't complain. This is the first time i've actually timed it right and got any type of 0%.
